There are so many factors that play into sex drive and when it can be increased or decreased. Some factors contributing to these difficulties include mental illnesses, medications, hormone levels, and more. It can be confusing to try and balance your sexual desires and get them to a level that works for you and your partner(s). While it may be a bit unconventional, there are a lot of evidence-based studies on different foods and how they contribute to our libido. Of course, there's the first option, which you've probably heard of before when first discovering aphrodisiacs.

Ah, yes, the famous oyster.

So, it turns out that there is actually a lot of history behind this one, and the results yield success. If you're trying to increase your sex drive, go for a date to an oyster bar and throw back a few if you're into stuff like that.

Life is like a box of chocolates.

There's probably a reason grocery stores become flooded with heart-shaped, pink, and red chocolate boxes every February. This holiday, the day of love, is a day dedicated to pleasure and flirtation. So, it comes to no surprise that chocolate, itself, is an aphrodisiac. Dark chocolate, specifically, is believed to increase satisfaction during sex, so maybe buy a box of chocolate more than once a year?

Magic truffles?

Truffles are the kind of thing you either love or hate. The intense umami flavor of truffle is overbearing to some, but those who love it love it. If you're not a lover, it might be time to reconsider, as truffles are a type of aphrodisiac as well. Try staying in and adding some truffle oil to a pasta dish made with love for your date.

Ironically, yes, bananas.

It actually makes sense that the fruit used to teach condom application in junior high doubles as an aphrodisiac. Everyone knows, bananas hold a lot of nutritional value, and because of their high potassium levels, they can impact hormone levels. This makes them beneficial to our sex lives, as well as our stamina.

Red, Red Wine

It may go without saying, that in a way, all wines act as aphrodisiacs in the first place. But, that's not technically the case. However, red wine is unique and does. Red wine increases blood flow, allowing your heart and other body parts to feel butterflies. For the same reason, red wine is good for your heart health; it is suitable for your sexual health.
