Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Gin (or mezcal, or whiskey!)
  • 3/4 oz Campari
  • 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi Torino preferred)
  • Orange Twist

With only three commonly-sourced ingredients: gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, the pure truth is that I've never had a bad Negroni! It is quite possibly the only cocktail that's both equally boozy, pleasantly bitter, and refreshing all in the same. Quite simply the easiest cocktail for aspiring home-bartenders to create a beautiful complex piece of Italy.

Instructions

Step 1
Pour the gin, Campari and vermouth into a lowball glass with ice, then stir for 20 to 30 rotations.

Step 2
Express orange peel over the surface of the cocktail. Leave the peel on top of the cocktail for presentation.
