Packaging Designer

Job Description
Art and Cook is looking for a Mid-Senior level package designer who is passionate about their craft; someone who maintains strong conceptual thinking while delivering on excellent designs.

Responsibilities and skills:
· Responsible for the timely creation of package designs, primarily in the Home, housware arena.
· The ability to collaborate with internal creative department, and marketing teams
· Stays up to date with trends, market standards, and has the ability to integrate them into design concepts
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Able to manage multiple priorities, anticipate demands, communicate status appropriately, and maintain a high level of operational transparency and accountability.

We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, who can contribute to group creative discussions. We want someone who works well with a team and thrives on creative collaboration as well as meeting individual design goals who can work in a fast-paced, highly creative environment and whom is always seeking to grow and learn as a designer.

Account Manager

Job Description
The Account Manager will be responsible for growing our business with mass retailers in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop relationships with clients (medium to large accounts) to acquire new business and network with existing customers to retain their business
• Manage the day to day relationship with buyers at our expansive list of retail partners
• Work with our in house operations teams to ensure in-stocks, line reviews, etc.
• Work with our in house Product and Design teams to strategize and sell existing product lines and custom tailor assortments based on the client’s needs.
• Travel throughout US to meet our key retail partners regularly
• Attend trade shows to meet new leads (new accounts and new departments/buyers within our existing accounts)

• 2+ years of related experience (buying experience in the housewares industry a major plus)
• Advanced sales skills, which includes the ability to market and close the sale of an offering
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
• Must be goal and detail oriented
• Must love our product, as the account manager will work closely with our PD and Design teams to meet the custom needs of your accounts.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups in Excel)

Sales Assistant

Job Description
As a Sales Assistant you will proactively support the sales manager, ensuring the Sales Manager and key retailers receive the tools, attention, and information needed to thrive. The ideal candidate will magnify the Sales Manager effectiveness by taking on administrative tasks and special projects as required. This role spearheads the follow-up on customer and sales representatives' requests.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates presentation materials and appropriate samples for meetings with key retailers. Transfers samples from meeting-to-meeting.
• Coordinates the prototype and sample shipment to and from the Sales Representatives.
• Maintains running records of meeting follow-ups and provides samples as they become available.
• Maintains one-on-one relationships with the Sales Representatives to meet their needs and further Art and Cook’s goals and acts as the point-of-contact in the Sales Manager's absence.
• Compiles data for the Sales Representative use, i.e., product rankings and set-up information.
• Ownership of new item set-up paperwork. Fills various requests, including document and image.
• Approves sample orders.
• Completes special orders for individual customers.
• Collaborate and work closely with other sales assistants for special projects.

• Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Four-Year College or University in Related Field/Profession.
• 1+ years' experience required
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel, & Power point.
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written, listening skills required.
• Demonstrated high level of sales support
• Ability to engage with all internal and external stakeholders on matters of sales strategy and support.

Product Development Manager

Who you must be / What you must have:

Through product sourcing, product quality and timely delivery of new products.


Merchandising & Product Development

• Analyze and Identify product assortment needs for buying trips and development
• Identify trends, looks and product types that will help the business grow
through competitive shopping, attending relevant trade shows and market research
• Be in tune with the division through sales trends and analysis
• Send product developments to vendors and review with creative and design teams
• Present and prepare final line reviews to executive management
• Create and manage Master List and FileMaker database for assigned collection
• Upload relevant Master List to Mac Server
• Adhere to collection marketing calendar and ensure milestone dates are met
• Act as an information resource about products for internal departments
• Participates in Salesman Meetings, Trade Shows, and team activities

Sourcing and Product Development

• Manage assigned product collection and act as primary contact for vendors
• Place initial orders and sample orders for new line items in accordance with target delivery dates
• Develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in production
• Collaborate with the Quality Control Department and Inventory Management to ensure merchandise meets company quality standards and delivery dates

Catalog Production

• Collaborate with Inventory Management in line and repeat item selection for the collection
• Provide contact sheets and copy for catalog production
• Proof catalogs for assigned collections


• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or sourcing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures
• Relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude expected. Works under general supervision
• Analytical, detail oriented, self-starter
• Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced working in Excel, knowledge of FileMaker
