Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  •  2 oz. ginger, sliced
  • Three large, ripe figs
  • ¾ oz. lime juice
  • ¾ oz. agave
  • 2 oz. tequila reposado
  • Ice

Ah, the beloved fig! Not only are they a fall superfood, but they’re also packed with fiber and can help regulate your blood sugar (sexy). Do you know what else helps your blood sugar? Tequila! And when you marry the two with a bit of ginger, you get a drink chock-full of nutrients and flavor. I love using figs because the flavor in the bud brings a creaminess to anything it touches. And yes, there really is such a thing as a healthy cocktail and you can enjoy every sip, too. Give your palate a guilt-free opportunity to relish these cozy flavors.

Instructions

In a cocktail shaker, muddle ginger until fragrant. Add figs and muddle until thoroughly mashed. Add lime, agave, tequila, and ice, then shake until chilled. Double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with one fig.
